Connecticut Senator Chris Dodd has decided to endorse Barack Obama today. In addition to the symbolic import of a nod from one of the most respected Democrats in congress--and a recent high-profile contender for the nomination--the endorsement means yet another Super-delegate is breaking Obama's way.
Dodd, a U.S. senator from Connecticut, dropped out of the race for the Democratic presidential nomination in early January after placing sixth in the Iowa caucuses, the first nominating contest in the nation. He also was first elected to the U.S. Congress in 1974.
